For the past few weeks, I’ve been trying to find the right words for this.

Back in 2019, a very specific version of me, on her own health journey, wanted to wear something that felt both cute and badass. So I came up with a sweat belt and the words Grind Like A Doll, something that felt fun, feminine, strong, and meaningful all at once. I had no idea then what those words would become.

What started with a sweat belt slowly turned into a brand, a community, and a little world of its own.

I think about all the learning curves, the lessons, the orders we packed, the sweet messages you sent, the cries, the laughter, the women who found GLAD through a friend’s story and wore

it through workouts, pregnancies, hard days, good days,...all of it.

I think about how many versions of me existed alongside GLAD, too. GLAD has been such a special part of my life. You gave what started out as a little project of mine a life I never could

have created on my own, and I am endlessly grateful for that.

I’ve always believed in creating from the heart, and I’ve often promised myself that I would never create just for the sake of keeping something going. If I put something into the world, I

want it to carry the love, energy, and intention I know I’m capable of giving. And with time, as many of you have witnessed, I’ve changed too. I’ve become a wife, a mother to wonderful children, an entrepreneur, I’ve grown, learned, stretched, and stepped into parts of my life I couldn’t have imagined when I started GLAD. And I’ve realized that what I have to give has changed too.

Right now, I know I can’t give GLAD what I once did, and more importantly, what I believe it deserves. So, after a lot of thought, I’ve decided to put GLAD on pause.

This is bittersweet, but I also know there’s something beautiful about making space to figure out what feels right before deciding what comes next.

I don’t think this is necessarily the end of GLAD. Maybe one day I’ll want to make clothing again, maybe GLAD will come back in a completely different form, or maybe it will become something I can’t even imagine yet. This is the end of this particular version of it.

And while I’m closing this chapter, I’d hate to see the beautiful community we created disappear. If you’ve been here for this journey, I hope you’ll stick around for whatever might come next. I have no idea what that looks like yet, but knowing myself, I’m sure there will be something.

Hopefully, when the time is right, GLAD will have something to say again and you’ll be part of it. Until then, thank you.
